PROPANE EMERGENCY RESPONSE TRAINING
The Propane Emergency Response Training (PERT) program is a state-certified course for all first responders. The MPGA offers this state-of-the-art training free of charge. We’ve trained more than 8,000 first responders throughout Michigan.
The training is divided into two sections; first a classroom covering properties and principles of propane, and second an outside, hands-on live-burn designed to simulate various types of propane emergencies. This training provides Michigan first responders and law enforcement with immediate advice and recommendations for a potential emergency.
